General Description of Masks:
With the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, one of the most effective strategies for protecting ourselves and everyone else, is to wear personal protective equipment (PPE). As our country gradually comes out of isolation, a "new normal" is very likely to be wearing PPE when we go into public places and other high risk environments. These masks are made specifically to have better filtering and droplet protection than a standard cloth mask, and more importantly, they are durable, washable, and reusable. They are made using 3 layers - the first is a bacteriostactic carbon threaded fabric intended to reduce bacterial contamination, the second layer is a polypropylene non woven fabric that filters 95% of dust in the atmosphere (N95 fabric), and then third is soft in order to protect your skin.
These masks are ideally intended for public use, or in addition to a standard surgical mask. We do stand by the quality of these masks, however, they are not intended to replace PPE that is tested for aerosol medical procedures and/or other healthcare use. Any healthcare provider should review their individual institutional policies and procedures and consider our masks appropriately.
