“I started Ironcology because I saw it as an opportunity for me to use my talents as a triathlete to not only improve the treatment options at my cancer center, but as a means to give back to my patients.” -Dr. Feddock
The Race Day video from IM Louisville (Dr. Feddock and Ironcology throughout):
“I have been very blessed to receive so much attention. I think it just demonstrates how many people have been touched by cancer and recognize the need to fight this disease.”
Ironcology is a fundraising organization aimed at celebrating cancer survivors, promoting a healthy lifestyle, and racing triathlons.
It was created in 2014 by Dr. Jonathan Feddock, a radiation oncologist at the University of Kentucky, as a single fundraising campaign combining the 2014 Ironman Louisville with a project for improving cancer treatments at UK.
